I think you're seeing it wrong, you can see the spine, and just barely see the west fingertip on CrtlAltDel's drawing, just like you will be able to when it's done.

so my bad...I was looking at the spine and thinking that it was the fingertip

These drawings aren't 100% accurate, it would take me to too long to try to be dead on accurate for everything. It's meant as merely an example, and for enjoyment.

Criticism is appreciated though, makes me try a little harder for the next renderings!

Like I said, the drawings are very good. Obviously, you've drawn some of the buildings yourself and pasted them into the skyline - and they look like real buildings.

Keep doing them, as we all look forward to your next one.

That's excellent. That looks like a BIG city, holy crap. Amazing to think it'll look like that in 5-6 years from now.

Excellent job as per usual. I love this angle, it really shows just how much all the development in the beltline will extend the skyline.

Thanks guys. I really like this angle too, very unique. The Calgary Tower looks like it's shrinking, with all the surrounding highrises popping up.

I'll repost this in the Canada section Wooster, good idea.

Man our skyline really does look like a city of metro or megalopolis size.
If we show this to regular people outside the country i bet they will think this is like Toronto or Chicago or San Francisco or something. Cities much much bigger than ours. We really are the king of skyline deception!!

Good eye! I would LOVE to have Sprint Centre, or something similar for a new 'dome. After I saw your suggestion in the Calgary Arena thread I tucked it in the corner.

Here is an aerial view, probably around 2030, after Fort Calgary and Stampede Park are redeveloped.

I've put in every possible development that will likely happen within the next 20 years. Of course, some buildings are stand-ins, but it gives a fairly accurate view of what can be expected.
