^ IMO they look terrible in person. Like styrene strips tacked onto the last few stories. Maybe if they were to extend them to the base? These photos by cityofblindinglights illustrate the point I'm trying to make:

I don't mind the fins. As much as they look tacked on they do carry the eye upward & beyond. The fins have definitely been scaled back from the early renderings. I'm sure the fins will really pay off at night when lit up. Now link the center fin to a spire, for some real visual impact.

^ Especially if you've tried to do these yourself and remember how cold it gets in winter lugging a tripod around...

Thanks, TUP, that means a lot. And, as honte said, it is a pain in the 🞵🞵🞵 to hold a metal camera steady with no gloves when it's cold out, so thanks for the compliments--they are much appreciated.

Not to be greedy (or sadistic!) but the somewhat finished lobby is now illuminated in the evening - I went by too fast to get a good look but it has a presence all the way from Wacker. If anyone is in the neighborhood with some warm gloves and can post a photo ...

This is a classy, stunning addition to the Chicago box towers. It does a nice job further defining the urban river canyon. Keep the shots comin'!

Yes it has a presence, but is difficult to get a good shot of with all the stuff out front. This shot was for the walkway but catches some of the lobby ( last friday).

These planters are a great idea, but will never see the sun.

With such a nice workplace, maybe they won't be so drone-ish.

A peek inside through dirty glass

I'm not sure it the metal stuff is the art, or mountings for art.

Nice touch with the lights continuing their pattern from inside to out.

Kind of hard to believe that this one is taller than One Museum Park and the BCBC addition.

Great vantage Solar

I think BCBS from actual grade is taller than this? I forget.

It gets tricky.

If you measure BCBS from the park level it's about 790' or so. Give or take a few feet.

But, if you measure 300 North LaSalle from the riverwalk, it's over 800'.

Remember, the 785 figure is from LaSalle Street (main entrance)
