Except when the sun is at a northerly angle, which it is for 3+ months a year every single morning and every single afternoon, it's at the hottest time of the year in Phoenix when you want the LEAST amount of sunlight.
It's not rocket science.
I'm not questioning every single building. I'm questioning this one. I find it odd that three sides were given a particular facade treatment and yet the north side is left unprotected against the worst solar conditions of the year.
