Despite my forumer name, I rarely drink Canadian beer (Even Molson Export)...I mostly drink German, English, Irish, and Belgian Beer, with the odd beer from Japan, China, Czech Republic, etc.

OK. My previous alter ego (forum name) was somehow locked out to me. I therefore abandoned SSP...for about 6 months. One evening, I was getting loaded drunk (leftover Molson Export from a houseparty at my apt)...girlfriend at the time was out having a ladies night, and I decided to join SSP again...needed a username, and just looked at the bottle in my hand.

The rest, as they say, is history.

I personally find Molson Ex to be a vile beer. For a cheap beer I drink Labatt 50, though lately I've been into PBR and Bohemian. Other than that it's pretty much only European for me.

Incidentally, how in the hell did Labatt 50 end up being the hipster beer of choice in Ontario? And how do pretentious Toronto bars justify charging over $6 a pint for it?

^nope, boho is quite a popular beer with my friends in both Ottawa and Toronto. Cheap and not too bad. I miss when it used to be in plastic bottles though!

They don't sell Molson Canadian in Québec - well.. I have seen it in a few places (mostly in Hull dépanneurs)... but it's near impossible to find in Montreal.. if anyone has seen it in mtl, tell me where - it's be like finding a needle in a haystack.

Molson’s in Quebec brews the Canadian brand only for Gatineau dépanneurs primarily for Ottawa underage teenagers who cross over the bridge. (I am not really being facetious here.)

The equivalent beer (exact same stuff out of the same pipe) to Molson Canadian in Quebec used to be Laurentide, but I don’t think they make it anymore.

That's what I figured, actually. I wonder if they do the same in other border towns (Grenville to the east, Fort Coulonge to the west).. or it's probably not worth their while for such small places..?

Molson is shit, the only time I drink it is at a Flames game, that beer is potent, hence the name heroin beer.

I used to work at a beer vendor when I was a kid (okay, to me 18 is still a kid because I'm a tree) Anyway, one day we got some empties of "Fin du Monde". %11 alcohol content so it's no misnomer to call it fin du monde. I'm pretty sure it came from Quebec so can any Quebecois tell me if this beer is still around and, if it is, has the last person to sample it sobered up yet ?

I remember when we had %7 beers like Molson XXX. After about three or four of them they started to taste like Captain Crunch breakfast cereal to me.
