That's actually a good way to consider it ($ spent/year). I spend roughly $550 a season on the Bombers. So, perhaps a bit more on NHL. Given that, I'd probably be closer to 10 games (in the upper deck).
Slightly related, but I'm thinking it'd be much easier to get around TV local blackouts of NHL games, than CFL.
