i'm so glad this project is finally rising above street level, this should shut all those who doubted it'd ever get built up!

Though why it was ever in doubt, I don't know. There have been major delays, sure. But the new WTC was always going to be built because it had to be. In that sense, it's different from other developments. It was only a matter of when it would be completed, not if. And with a project of this size, dates will change.

the media and a couple idiots on the forums...as NYguy said, there is no way i wouldn't be rebuilt, it would be stupid to think otherwise

I am very excited to see construction moving above "ground zero", now more accurately called the WTC site.
There is NO denying the progress and the momentum as construction moves on all fronts.

NOVEMBER 1, 2008

Now that we are seeing movement above ground, I'm going to be taking a gazillion Freedom Tower photos. Here are the first hundred...

Just seen these at Wired NY, Great update NYguy. The Freedom Tower's core has attratced much attention, and so far it's only structure to reach above street level. Imagine this site in a year from now, a forest of steel and concrete.

Im just wondering but how many more floors have to be build until its the lobby level ? it cant be many now and when will the last side of the towers steel be errected and in view ?

The picture where there are people standing in front of a large bank of windows overlooking the site, is the the WFC? Thats an awesome spot to watch progress from slightly above grade.

It seems as though the tower has been at pretty much the same level for weeks now. Is it not rising fast due to all the work that has to go into prepping the ground floors with wiring and all that jazz?
