Sorry if someone have answered this before, but WHY is the South core growing that much faster than the North one?

I asked the same question and didn't get a response. So...the both of us would like to know why the south core is going up faster than the north one?

I love the distant shots of the structure and how it shows it finally beginning to rise from a distance!

Due to the slow economy they are only building the South half of the tower at this time.

There is a growing sense of anticipation for what is to come, like a volcano waiting to erupt...

When the documentary comes out of the rebuilding, we'll have witnessed it all.

Timken to Supply Special Grade Steel for Freedom Tower Construction

October 16, 2008

The Timken Company announced today that it has supplied special bar quality steel for use in constructing the antenna tower for the Freedom Tower at the World Trade Center site in New York City.

Timken® steel will be used to build the supporting legs of the 450-foot-antenna tower on top of the building. Timken was selected as a supplier for the project by DCM Erectors Inc. of Toronto, Canada, which is the project’s steel erector and will build the tower’s 12-sided antenna. Tishman Construction Corporation of New York is serving as Construction Manager for the Freedom Tower.

The Freedom Tower, being built by the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey, will stand 1,776 feet tall, and will serve as an inspirational and enduring beacon in the New York City skyline.
