Thanks for grabbing some shots of this one. I had almost completely forgotten about it. From some of those angles it doesn't look like the giant piece of dog 🞵🞵🞵🞵 that the renders had me anticipating.

Well, yes, that's true. But in that last straight-up-the-center shot (NICE btw) it still bears an uncanny resemblance to a Robt. Taylor Homes tower (yikes!) but with a 100-times-better facade and cladding.

It's okay. They should have mirrored the west crown with the east. The west side makes the building really look flat.

Precisely what I thought when I saw those. Ouch.

And yet, I like this far better than the east side, with its stupid Cyclops ornament on top.

I wish! SusieM was kind enough to invite me up to check out the spectacular views she’ll be enjoying. She is just starting to move in after recently closing on the condo. SusieM also gave me a tour of OMPE and I was very impressed. I took over a hundred pictures from her balcony, hoping a few would turn out, and I still need to go through them and pick out the best ones. I'm planning to create a separate thread in the city photography section.

Yay for more educational building in Chicago!

I forgot to mention earlier that this project could be a candidate for tallest dorm in the world. Dan in Chicago, do you know who holds the title now? I know the dorm in Normal, IL is up there among the tallest with a top out at 300 feet, 27 stories. This one could clear 400'.

I love student housing. Its very dense, very active, and creates no new NIMBYs. More please.
