5 months after a reply from the Premier's message, I finally got a message from the e-mail from the Minister of Transportation:
Quote:
Premier Gordon Campbell has asked me to respond on his behalf to your
e-mail of May 28, 2008, offering suggestions for the name and design of
the Canada line. Please accept my apologies for the lateness of my
reply.
The Canada Line will be tremendous benefit to residents and visitors
throughout the Lower Mainland. In addition to the Vancouver Airport
Authority, it's worth noting that the Canada Line is also being funded
by TransLink, the City of Vancouver and the provincial and federal
governments. It's also supported by the City of Richmond and partially
funded by the private-public partner InTransit BC Inc. Their collective
support is making the line possible.
Canada Line Rapid Transit Inc. is a subsidiary of TransLink, and
construction and long-term operating fall under its purview. As such, I
have forwarded a copy of your correspondence to TransLink, as decisions
regarding aesthetics and signs would be matters for their consideration.
You can reach them by e-mail at [email protected], by calling 604
953-3040 or by writing to Suite 1600, 4720 Kingsway, Burnaby, British
Columbia, V5H 4N2.
Thank you again for taking the time to write.
Best regards,
Kevin Falcon
Minister

The "name and design" of the Canada Line is referring to do my idea about splitting the Canada Line into 2: Canada Line (Waterfront - Richmond) and YVR Line (Waterfront - YVR). On the system map, the Canada Line would be light blue and the YVR Line would be light green, colours from the Canada Line logo and train design.
