Trump, MLS, and TIFFT will follow up for next spring and summer.

Great shots, Vike.

Gotta love the 'Peg in the fall.

From this angle you get a much better perspective on the number of highrises downtown and in the Village.

I'm looking forward to seeing some new ones go up.

P.S. Where are you taking these photos from anyways? Somewhere in St.Boniface?

from roof of the holiday inn south....the diagonal line of low buildings in the first panorama is pembina highway slicing between the trees of wildwood and crescentwood.

Great shots there, trueviking. Dug it. To the point of needing a shovel. Whatever that means.

Flickr find!

I like this very recent one I found (October 16, 2008), courtesy of Maya Velasco.

It is, of course, looking southwest towards downtown Calgary from YYC. Arriva has and will continue to extend the skyline out a ways to the east, especially with the next phases U/C. Also, Remington's Railtown project is going to land use soon, and that project will include towers as tall and/or taller than Arriva...

Trivial fact: the Calgary Tower will be just slightly visible from this angle in 2011, as the right half of the tower should be obscured by The Bow.

Don't know if that's a sarcastic comment or not but the Muni is the main thing that has held us back. Melcor has a 'proposed' 550+ footer and a 450+ footer.

Wasn't meant to be sarcastic at all - I'm all about taller towers.
I just liked your positive outlook with all the economic doom & gloom lately.

The classic skyline....

from jpg-ana at www.flickr.com

btw: Pinnacle Centre is making it's presence felt on the skyline and a good 10-11 floors to go.

Look to your right

Even though the classic waterfront skyline is the little skyline... it is iconic and getting better and better... imagine the Ritz much taller than RBC (left of it), Shangri-La and Trump sneaking into the photo.

This POV gets better and better.
