I won't be done with work until 6:30 so i can't make it. I hope someone from here can attend.

There were a few construction workers on site putting materials in this elevator. Next door to Staybridge is a hotel conversion(I believe its being called Hotel Felix) taking place. That too is having construction but I was very sure not to mix up the two. You can definitely move this one back to under construction."
I went past the site this morning. I've got to agree that construction doesn't appear to have resumed. I couldn't spot a single person on site.

No plans to currently do so. Focus is really on blue line track repairs, brown line construction, and mothballing the new Block 37 station. And besides, though it doesn't have the grunge factor, they wouldn't touch the restored Quincy stop - so you would always have that one. The rest do need some upgrading and/or cleaning up, but they are functional.

^ Pretty sweet, Harry.

That view through the middle of the Wrigley towers makes me wish the top of 353 weren't so generic.

So what's the verdict? Is John Buck going to be an ass and tear down those historic lowrises next to 155 N Wacker, exposing a butt-ugly garage to a planned plaza for the world to see, or is that no longer a part of the plan?

because of freeze thaw

but I agree that keeping the look and the feel of the materiality is lost.

find a cheap way to protect the concrete from the elements while allowing for it to be seen and experienced

you'll make boatloads of money
