Spring just got up to 30. The Austonian is going up really fast now. I like to see 18. It's getting really close to being a prominent part of the skyline. Four Seasons just seems to be loping along. I never thought that the Austonian would give it a run for its money, but that's the way it's looking. I'm hoping the election gives us a good turnaround next year, although Austin's been a lot luckier than most places. I'd like to see Trammel Crow give W a run for its money. Pics from early this morning. First up, the Four Seasons, working on the 12th floor now.

Starting to put up some walls:

The Austonian. Up to 19! Moving quickly now.

The W. Finishing up the final piers. Getting ready to pour walls all around the bottom of the parking garage. That little "pond" that was in the middle, they seem to be digging out around it, for some reason. Still no replacement crawler crane.

You can see parts of the wall here, and also column supports for the bottom floor getting ready for some concrete:

Priller: Incredible shots!
You should stop by the top of the garage at my office on Barton Skyway and grab some more pics sometime. It's especialy nice in the AM.

If I get brave enough, I may take some shots of the skyline from the frontage road off of mopac, right before the Bee Cave's rd exit.

Does anyone know what the project is at the corner of E. Riverside and Lakeshore? I was riding my bike by there today and they have the rather large lot all cleared off. I thought I saw an AMLI sign, but I might be mistaken.

Also rode by the Revolution Riverside lot and they're still doing site prep. They're making progress, but it's taking them a long time.

LOL ..I really like how the 8th picture shows the bunching up of those buildings, that has to be the densest portion of DT and the 4 seasons will add to it as well. Just keep em coming'..the photos!

And now that we know the children's museum is moving out to Mueller, we can assume something new will go there. One of these days, after the economy gets going again.

I wonder what they are going to put in its place at the W. Maybe some other kind of museum?

THey changed the plan/permits to be more retail or restaurant space. The Museum was subsidized by the city, once that deal fell through the city money went to other projects.

This is true, but its still pretty sad that students dont go to the games.

In any case, like I said, the real problem is a lot of the stadium staff is not in place yet because construction isnt complete and a lot of vending areas are not open yet, which could add a few thousand once those are all up and running.

Also, they always manage to squeeze in a few more people for big games. Not sure how/why but the stadium often goes a few thousand above normal for stuff like the ATM game.

That has always been such a perfect spot to take pictures of downtown Austin. Nice reflection and good morning light too.
