Well... three more planned for the reasonable future... Miramar 3 & 4 and Essence... then of course the several towers off in the future at Semiahmoo, some of which will definitely be viewable from the bay.

^Indeed. I'd say all the towers you mentioned will for sure be visible in that last pic at least... so another 9 in total ranging from 14-36 storeys. There should be a nice little skyline there in the future.

Here's a rough rendering of the area with all the proposed buildings added. I used one of the Miramar towers as stand-ins for the rest. The heights and spacing are obviously roughly judged as well but it should give somewhat of an idea of the areas potential.

So what has been added are the other two Miramar Village towers, the Essence tower, and the Semiahmoo Mall redevelopment cluster.

My bus was moving when I took this photo so it's a little bit blurry. I thought I'd show you guys how the street level of the building looks like. Not bad, in my opinion.

Yeah either is BOSA, hence them tearing to down the first half for the first two towers and them eventually replacing the Buy-Low & Liquor Store half that remains with the final two towers.

That's impossible. There are multiple gulf islands blocking any line of sight between Victoria and White Rock.

Maybe he means from mount finlayson? even victoria looks pretty small from there though

Victoria is a hilly place. Certain hills have a clear view of the White Rock area including Semiahmoo. I haven't actually checked from atop Mt. Finlayson, but there is one residential area just north of Mt. F. that has a decent view across the straight. You can even see the ski hills above Vancouver when they're lit up at night.

I'll see if I can get a strong zoomed shot, but it'll be difficult to get conditions right at this time of year (haze, etc).

Bosa’s Miramar Village units ‘90 per cent sold’

Miramar Village homeowners may be moving into their homes as early as December.

And the $3.4-million second mortgage from the City of White Rock will soon be paid as well, according to an e-mail from Bosa Properties’ Daryl Simpson, vice-president of sales and marketing.

But Phase 2 of the project – another two towers – is on hold, for now.

In an e-mail sent last week, Simpson said “approximately 90 per cent of the 225 homes in Miramar Village (17- and 21-storey towers) are now sold,” and an occupancy permit for those homeowners is expected “in the coming weeks. Should this indeed occur as scheduled, we anticipate that a portion of our homeowners will begin moving into their homes in early December.”

Where the second mortgage is concerned, Simpson states: “To provide the city with greater security and certainty concerning the final payment for the city-owned lands at Miramar Village, a mortgage was granted to the city enshrining their interest in this balance of funds. We have of course set aside this balance of funds as completion of the project nears, and anticipate making our final payment within 30 days of receipt of our final Occupancy Permit.”

Earlier this week, city manager Peggy Clark confirmed the process is underway, and that once all the necessary documents are filed with the Land Titles office (in New Westminster), occupancy permits will be issued, and those will “give title to the strata owners.”

Where the second phase is concerned – which will mean two more towers where Hillcrest Mall is situated – Simpson said the company still plans to move forward on it, but not right now.

“While we have elected to delay the construction and marketing of our next phase in light of the current financial environment, we are hopeful that these factors will resolve themselves shortly and allow us to commence construction and marketing on our second phase as soon as possible.”

Phase 2 was originally slated to begin as soon as Phase 1 was completed.
