I've a got a question for you. On Emporis it says there is one building in New York that is "in ruins". What exactly does that mean? What building is it that is "in ruins"? Thanks guys!
does it say the name? the only thing i can think of in ruins (other than fiterman hall and deutche bank is the old hospitals on the southern tip of Roosevelt Island

Oh gosh there are lots of buildings on ruins, especially the old asylums and hospitals on all the smaller islands. Offhand I can think of five including the one on Roosevelt Island.
We need a thread for a building that's either U/C or site prep, I can't tell which at this point, Lecom might be able to clarify this.

Whatever was decided, if anything, to do about finishing the tower that had the deadly crane collapse this spring? I believe it was a 47 floor building...possible addressed 303 E. 51st Street.

I think they've decided not to tear it down completely but I also read that the developer is having to sell the property due to foreclosure. Maybe the next owner will finish it.
