[QUOTE=photolitherland;3741007]I had taken this photo from the Sears Tower a few days ago and I was wondering what was going on where the black arrow is pointing? It looks like quite the large project.

That is the site of the Roosevelt Collection project.

I just see this as really shortsighted urban planning. The western half of that block is going to be needed someday soon.
Or is it landmarked?
^ Frankly, I hope the western half of that block doesn't get developed. Buildings/streetscapes like that are fading away in River North and we need little structures like that to counterbalance all the podia appearing everywhere.

While I agree with this sentiment, I wish the building at hand was a terra cotta beauty and not the nice, but architecturally unremarkable structure that it is.

....I haven't been following this thread lately, so if this has been covered (sorry).....it seems like there are projects out there that are being deliberately being slowed down (for whatever reason)......I think the two 600 N LSD buildings and possibly Joffrey Tower as another.........am I delusional ?

I passed by 600 N LSD tower and I saw grills and bikes in the N tower balconies which mean owners are moving in.

The doorman confirmed last night that some folks have moved into Burnham Pointe.

I think One Place is hustling to enable some moveins this month as well.

speaking of move ins, are people moving into Vetro in Printer's Row? The building has been T/O'd forever and it still looks like a ghost town on the inside. I drive by it everyday and have noticed this for the past year.

Rumor Mill...John Buck is in final negotiations for the Showmens League building. Corner of Randolph/Franklin (they want a swap deal to stay near the loop) . I think this will be the final parcel that will make up the plaza/park site next to 155 n. wacker.

I just hope it means we are getting closer to the demo of the Walgreens on the east side of the corner.

There are definitely a decent amount of people who have been living in Vetro for the past few months. However, I think that this building still has a ton of unsold units - which would probably explain why the building doesn't seem to be bustling with activity - I always see a decent amount of units with lights on at night, but not nearly as many as most other buildings. I think I remember reading that when they had T/O'd, they had only 57% of the units sold.

Wrabbit, I just adore that photostitch. Really beyond documentation and into the realm of art...

Like a commentary on the contrasts of the rural and the cosmopolitan, the Lurie Garden looks like a lost conception growing between each culture, while the farmer and his wife venture timidly through this gateway into an unknown world.

Bravo.

The Park 1000, a 40-story building planned for 1000 South Michigan, has been marketed for AT LEAST a couple years now. I'm not overly confident that this one will go under U/C - it seems like the developers don't really have their sh*t together....although I want to say that I read somewhere at some point that there sales figures were actually pretty decent? (like 50%-ish?)

That's great news! It's good to see some high-rises pop up in the burgeoning western half of River North.

Along those lines, I think someone might have asked in the past week or two for list of updates needed to be made to page 1....and I think that a couple people mentioned a a building or two here and there, but perhaps no comprehensive list was given? Let me try to take a stab at the updates that need to be done, although I'm sure that it won't be completely accurate, so feel free to point out anything that needs to be added/changed:

U/C

Flair Tower

Site Prep/Demo

200 West Lake
161 West Kinzie
319 East Illinois
Lurie's Children Hospital (or is this actually U/C?)
Rush Hospital Expansion (same here - is this one actually U/C too?)
1349 (I know that some site prep work was done earlier in the year, although I don't know if there has been any activity here (or at Glashaus) for the past couple of months?)

Also, I want to say that I've heard in the past month or two that construction was imminent at Ritz Carlton, Catalyst, and perhaps one other building in River North (maybe 1 East Superior?). Does anyone know the status of those? Also, has construction started at Lincoln Park 2520?

Some buildings that are T/O or I think very close to T/O:

Trump
300 North Lasalle
Clare at Watertower
Burnham Pointe (has been T/O for months)
The wit?
Sono West?
Superior 110?
R+D659?
565 Quincy?

Park 1000 has been marketed for more than 2 years. I'm thinking 3-4, maybe more—it's really quite pathetic.

Yea I actually think that it is dead. The sales center isnt open anymore and when you email them you just get a return email in return stating the message failed to be recieved. They were at 60% actually...just the developers were stupid and didnt know how to get anything done even though you have such good odds!
