I got 75 out of 100
I live near 200 North and 200 West

Here are more possible Towers I added to our skyline:

And from this angle (I love how the Wasatch Partners twin towers (my creation) ended up sitting right below twin peaks! The City's skyline sort of follows our mountain skyline):

Thanks for the pics Viperlord. I know everyone really likes the one and nine project but for some reason it just doesn't do it for me. To me it feels a bit like a cartoony main street or something I can't quite put my finger on it. Does anyone else feel the same? Anyway I just like to be contradictory.

RFPCME: I think your right on. I wish america would step it up in regards to renewable energy development; for a country of our size and wealth we should be doing alot more. However I'm optimistic things are taking a few steps in the right direction.

Nice

Urbanboy:

Per usual, nice work. How about taking that Skitch program of yours and dropping in an energy complex (possibly a couple of complementary towers) on the Holding block?

By the way, my home in middle Georgia got a 42, which probably has more to do with the size of our city (60K) than any conscious effort to improve walk-ability. But plans are afoot to change that, even out here in Redneck USA!

It's all relative

Urbanboy: Your insertion of proposed towers into the SLC skyline drives home a point I keep forgetting...it's all relative. In your picture, the COB suddenly loses the presence it's had for all these years. Makes me think my argument for locating a mega-tower south of 6th South was dumb.

It's still very prominent, especially around the Temple Square area.

How do you think people felt when the Walker Bank Building, now Walker Center, was overshadowed... it's all relative.

Wait... I'm not quite sure what you're saying.

Urbanboy: Naw, you understood me perfectly. It is all relative, and you're also right about the presence of the COB around Temple Square--it will be prominent. It just surprises me how the addition one or two major towers can change the whole impression of a skyline.

Very nice UrbanBoy, I like how you think (usually) . In addition to the energy complex on the Holdings block how about another couple of 25-35 story towers a couple of blocks off Main, maybe widen the skyline from E-W. Maybe on the block south of ESA, like a W hotel or something.

400 S was recently rezoned to allow larger heights, I can't remember how high how, but I'm pretty sure it's at least 15 -20.

If you are talking about the TOD zoning in that area.... 75 feet max, or 125 feet as a confitional use if I recall. So, basically the same as the gateway district.

Thanks Urbanboy. I think Viper mentioned that a large apartment building is going in there. Is that right Viper?

Nice job urbanboy. Looking at that future skyline really makes me want those new tower built already. Like what is the deal with Wasatch partners? When are they going to come out with renderings of their project? Also the Glass tower.
Oh well at least the "Providence Place" project has starts. That will be a fun one to watch.

Utah Museum of Natural History

The building will rest on land that is badly eroded, full of bush-whacked trails and non-native, weedy plants, George said. The building will be located above the Bonneville Shoreline Trail and the museum's parking areas will be located below the trail.
