There have been a lot of good games this season. This is exactly what the CFL needs if it is to fend off the NFL.

The CFL definetly needed games like this for the season to bring back some fans. I can safely say that this is the most exciting CFL football I have watched in a while.

Can someone explain to me why we didn't go for 3 and 1 with 2min left?...all 3 losses are in the end of the game. That say something about the fabulous coaching.

Personally, I don't think Trestman has been too bad at all. Ironically, I thought you guys were going to be absolutely awful this year. I think Trestman has done a great job with a team full of good players, but lacking great players. Certainly inexperience at the head coaching position has something to do with the late game losses, but I'm stilly convinced the Als need a player to step up to be a closer - like a Geroy Simon, Arland Bruce, type.

Overall though, I think Trestman is milking the team for good value. The O-line looks resurgent, Calvillo is playing well, you have QB depth, his decision to go with Cobourne over Payton has already paid off, and the defense over the first 5 games has been alright. Lots of room for improvement, but I wouldn't be ready to bring out the guillotine quite yet. Plus, Etienne Boulay is on his way back ASAP and that's an upgrade to your defensive rear.

First of all, when you score 33 points a game you need to win. The defense have been horrible! We are first in the league with 157 points scored in 5 games. That's 31.4 points per game. What more can we ask the offense???
Last 3 games we all lost in the last minute. Bad time management, punt on 3 and short with the best offense, no emotions, bad challenges, etc. That's Trestman in the fourth quarter. Yesterday, Buano was talking to the players in the last 5 minutes. Trestman was only looking at his papers.
We have the best team in the league but also the worst coach.

Just a good exemple of how bad Trestman is, yesterday it was 3 and 1 with 2 minutes left. Instead of running the ball and winning the first down, Trestman decided to punt and we all know what happened.

I suppose they could always call up Teale Orban if absolutely necessary, but then again, that would ruin his last year of eligibility in the CIS.

Nicko999 don't blame those points entirely on your defense. Anthony's gift offering to the the Saskie defense in week 4 gave your defense an exceptional short field. Montreal gives up a lot of points off turnovers. That is a lot more telling that points per yards given up which can be very misleading. I'm not saying you guys are a brick wall - of course you're not. However, I think you guys are middle of the pack. Reggie Hunt just got back as well. I wouldn't get worried quite yet.

Well, it's a lot easier to win when you've got the refs on your side (the completely bogus ejection of JoJuan Armour at the very start of the game, for example) plus you get the lucky bounces (the fumble that bounced directly into Cates' arms that went in for a touchdown).

Calgary shot themselves in the foot so many times this game (dropped passes, stupid penalties, bad reads by Henry, and the completely mind-boggling play call on the 3rd and 1 situation late in the 4th quarter) that they didn't need Saskatchewan to beat them, they did a pretty damn good job of beating themselves.

If the Stamps would ever get around to playing complete games, they'd be the best team in the league.

IF Montreal had a good defense they would be the best team in the league. IF is the most important word in that sentance

Yeah, the ejection at the start of the game was bogus, but the rest of the calls throughout the game were perfectly valid. Calgary got a shit load of penalties in the game and they deserved every one. You can't blame us.. I agree, the stamps did a really good job of shooting themselves in the foot, and for that, we thank you
