I was just talking to the Charlesfort people. They confirmed that they are still trying to get everyone moved in by end of December.

My occupancy date (6th floor) had been scheduled for end of September, however, I've been notified that it has been delayed till mid-November.

A short delay.

I would be very surprised if you move in that early. Most recent bulidings of that height in Ottawa have had their first move ins more like a year after topping off.

Man, this condo has gone up so quickly. Are all the workers The Flash's illegitimate children?

It's the normal speed for high-rise construction. It seems that most of the rest of Ottawa's construction is slow.

Was talking to another purchaser checking out the construction progress. He said he was told that the move-in date has been postponed again, till end of January. Sigh...

What a beautiful, beautiful building. It will round out the block quite nicely. I can't wait to see those dumps of apartment buildings on either side of it get developed either.

Ouch, wrong color balance on this one.. oops..

I went down a few floors at the Minto suites this time.. instead of the 31st floor, I thought I'd try to take one from a bit lower (28th).

I can't picture how the rooftop terrace fits in. Will it be on the east side?

I'm not sure where it will be..

Today I went a little closer to the site and I noticed that Phase 2 is already starting...cement has been poured and there were quite a few people working in the pit.

Is there separate underground parking for phase 2 or will the two share a structure?

Phase II will have their own underground parking structure.

As for the rooftop terrace, it will be where there's space. It is difficult to see now, with all the mess up there, but there will room for it.

I was driving East bound on the Queensway a few evenings ago and this building makes a very nice addition to the skyline. It's unobstructed and distinct enough that it stands out. I wonder what it will look like all lit up.
