^^^ Yes it is, they are just about the 40th floor, which would be 1/2 height since the first three floors are double tall and the building is 83 floors total...

Forgive me for saying this, but I think the low ceiling heights are really perceptible in that video. The uncomfortable aperture effect is only heightened by the deeply projecting balconies. Some people might like this, but I'm not sure it works for me. I'll wait to go into a finished unit before I judge it with any finality.

When Marina City was built, a full-scale mock-up on a unit was constructed to convince the architect and clients that the shape and proportions were comfortable. I wonder if Studio Gang did anything similar?

^^^ i see what you're saying, it is a bit hard to tell how enclosed the space will feel until the unit is finished. also, they're on the 21st floor, which is an apartment floor, is it possible that the floor to ceilings heights are smaller on these floors and greater on the condo floors, maybe someone with more knowledge can verifiy.

Condo ceiling heights are 8'8" - lower then all new construction in this price range. I cant imagine the rental portion ceilings being too much lower if at all. Maybe 8 feet. I hope the interiors werent sacrificed too much due to the exterior esthetics. The protruding balconies may make these units feel dark and small, especially with the lower ceiling heights. We will just have to wait and see for the final product.

Lowenberg has value-engineered the ceiling height at 8ft 8"; for me, this would be a deal breaker.

8.5ft ceilings aren't bad (Lake Point Tower is lower, for example) but at this price point it is a little odd. Things don't really start to feel 'cramped' until you get down to 8 ft.
