Thanks Surreal
The picture is the panoramic on the Buss Marketing page right now. It looks great. Definitely a conversation piece when people come to my place.

The latest rendering.
LaCaille is a stand-in, as it's undergoing a redesign. Kahanoff was deleted, as was Exchange. Original photo by Regulator75, edited by me, double checked by Boris.

It's the one that is sort-of shaped like a sail, to the left of PCC

Arriva and Nuera look like they're the exact same scale.

You know what I'd like to see? I'd like to see how a building like PCC would look in the Vancouver skyline. I'm always surprised how Calgary's massive commercial buildings dwarf even the tallest residential buildings.

I would like to see that void between PPC and Bankers Hall filled (with a new tallest perhaps?).

Sorry, I couldn't find the info on the really tall tower proposals in the other thread. Could someone fill me in? Something about an 80-floor tower?

^It was in the previous Calgary Construction Thread, or maybe even the one before that. LeftCoaster mentioned that he had seen conceptual designs for a 3 tower complex, including a 110 (or somewhere in that range) floor residential tower, and (I believe) a 70-80 some floor office tower. The location is just south of the Elbow River Casino site. This was confirmed by another forumer (can't remember who). Most of us figure it will never happen, at least at those heights, and is simply a proposal which maxes out some technical possibilities.

Too bad that would be awesome... Also too bad, Edmonton isn't getting any really tall tower proposals like that, haha... Damn airport...

It's funny. I had forgotten all about that project. Sometimes I think these developers actually believe themselves.

Damn, those are some interesting weather conditions in downtown Calgary.

Other scenarios you may have already considered: Atomic bomb, carpet bomb attack, 9/11 type scenario, conditions without humans (nature reclaims the buildings and land...there was a show on Discovery about that, NYC was the test subject).

Fog is

Yeah I did some other scenarios, but probably too disturbing to post on a public forum. A future Calgary without humans could be pretty interesting though.

Someone had asked me if all that mist was smog. I hadn't even thought of that, I hope that's not what it looks like!
