They are setting up on King William Street for the next demo. Should be any day now.

For some reason they have closed the sidewalk and curb lane on James Street in front of the Lister to almost Rebecca Street.

I was talking to Paul Reardon last night. He has been offered space in the new projects at the Lister by Liuna. He is waiting for the costs.

Scaffolding is going up on James Street side of the Lister. Same as in front of the building that they are planning to demo on King William Street.

^^yes, Talbot Block was a surprise demolition early on a Sunday morning after years of wrangling to save it. I watched from my balcony.

or it could be a huge smokescreen while the demo company "remediates and cleans" the site - which is fancy way of saying mine it for all its metal and fancy woodwork and other valuable fixtures...

That way they can argue the building has nothing in it worth saving...

With my windows open I can hear people hacking away at something. I'll go down and investigate. As of last night, there was still some scaffolding laying on the sidewalk on James up to I think that nutrition store.
