Give it a shot, what the hey. If you happen to wear a tie to work that day I'm sure no one will even blink. That rooftop is an incredible vantage point for some city views.

The bricks are going up! The bricks are going up!

Also they are finishing up the last floor. The 17 floors is deceiving because technically, it's only 15. There's no 13th floor, and 2nd floor is actually ground level. Can't wait to see how the pinnacle looks like.

Having used that floor for a conference a few years back :-)

You can get up to the 26 floor (PH) at the Crowne easily - just take the elevator up. It is not a resturant anymore up there. There are two small ballrooms. One on the north end one on the south end. You would have to hope the one on the south side is unlocked (doubtful). The elevator lobby looks west. THe east side is a kitchen and service area (likely with a nice view :-) ).

Or you could always ask or pretend you are planning a wedding or something and you want to check out the room and say you want to take some pictures of the room (and the view ;-) ) to show the bride to be...who was feeling a little under the weather and could not make the appointment :-)

No, the precast concrete slabs are for only the first 2 floors; then bricks to the top. I actually like bricks on condos, don't see too many around anymore. The Gardens looks really nice with the bricks. Otherwise it's gonna look like.......Claridge Plaza.

Now that they're topped out, I wonder when the crane will come down, or if they'll start phase 2 with it? Maybe it will have to be moved.

Still not much has changed. There are a lot of people up on the roof, though.

The steel frame is almost complete on the roof now (sort of a triangle shape around the mechanical area). No pics, someone else get 'er.

Some woman was enjoying a king can of Molson Dry in Dundonald park (where I took this shot from). Ah, vagrants.
