^^^ Jibba and SolorWind, surreal shots, surreal building. Just wow.

It will be really interesting when it is finished, because perspective will make the lower balconies disappear from some angles, causing the upper half of the building to seem as if it has more mass to it. An optical illusion that may cause it to resemble that UIC building...only graceful.

Aqua Construction Photos

I know a lot of you already watch these, but just in case you don't know, we've been taking a weekly snapshot of the Aqua construction, here are some recent ones below...

go here to view all of them http://www.windychat.com/photos/category-aqua-building-3/

Click on the images below to view a larger photo or to leave a comment on an individual photo.

You can see we changed orientation as the building started to get too tall.. soon we may need a panoramic lens!

To view a Slideshow from the beginning, go here:
http://www.windychat.com/photos/slideshow.php

Click on the building such as Aqua Building

In Sort Results by, switch to In Ascending Order, then click "Start Slideshow" and on the next page click "Start Show".

Have fun!

^ Thank you. Aqua is very photogenic. I predict that it will soon be one of Chicago's most photographed buildings. Another from 5/13:

Maybe its just the lighting, but in wrabbit's photos do a couple of the painted balconies near the top look to be a different shade of white?

…and great pictures as always.

I think they may have painted the edges on those floors, which is why they're brighter.

Fantastic!
Looks to be approaching the 30th floor now, and it just keeps getting more and more impressive.

wrabbit, that last photograph really shows how well they are articulating the balconies: the space around the large, balcony-less area in the center of the photo looks amazing.

I want to see the floor plan with the dimensions of the waves. It's killing me to not know how the work points are referenced.

So how does everyone feel about the white paint now that we are seeing more of it? I know the opinions before were split. Some liked the idea, some didn't.
