Lol at some of you guys for thinking Calgary got unfairly stereotyped. I think a visit to http://www.welcometohowedmontonfeelssince1983.com should be in order.
All joking aside, you guys should be happy you've got this, plus Warped Tour. Thats one I wish we had up north. *sigh*

I guess the only mainstream acts I would like to see are Live, and...umm, is Porcupine Tree mainstream? One of their songs comes on Xbox 360s (Shallow), though it's quite different from most of their stuff.

If any of your tastes happen to run towards heavy metal, Monsters of Rock in July at McMahon will have Ozzy and Priest among others.

I can't wait for the noise complaints that this show is gonna generate!

I can just picture the meeting:

: "Let's have a rock concert, but it is outdoors in Calgary so we better ease into it with something tame."

: "How about Ozzy?"

: "Book it!"

I think I read Metallica is playing Ozzfest - not Monsters of Rock unfortunately.

Wow, I thought Toronto got kinda screwed this year with V-fest, but apparently not. The headliners for Calgary are simply absurd. Not to mention the advertising scheme... geez.

On the other hand, Pemberton looks pretty amazing!
