D/T Gatineau Hotel | Proposed | 130 Rooms

Does anyone know about this project or where it's located? I spoke with the City of Gatineau and they have this project proposed in Downtown Gatineau.

I for one have never heard of it. I read in the Montreal Gazette some time ago that Montreal-based chain Impéria Hôtel & Suites was looking at expanding into Gatineau. Maybe that’s it, although my first thought was that they might be going into the boul. de la Cité / boul. de la Gappe area, near the Maison de la culture and the new sports complex. The city has been looking to attract a hotel into this area for a long time.

Could this be it? They refer to the Ottawa market, but this could easily mean downtown Gatineau in their minds...

Maybe, but I'd rather have their high end Germain hotel in Ottawa. We are in dire need of luxuous modern contemporary hotels.
