Frankfurt pix from the Main Tower observation deck - March 13th 2008

Thursday March 13th I visited Frankfurt.
A storm passed by on Wednesday, but on Thursday the weather calmed down.
The weather was sunny and bright (with an occasional shower), ideal weather for zoom-pictures.

Hope you like the pix.

1. Downtown.

2.

3.

4. Looking north.

5. And northeast.

6. Offenbach.

7. Main bank east.

8. Sachsenhausen.

9. Frankfurt airport.

10. Main bank west.

Finally a number of closeup-shots of some of the buildings.

11. My favourite, the DG Bank tower.

12. The Messeturm, also one of my favourites.

13. The Deutsche Bank twin towers.

14. Finally the city´s tallest building, the Commerzbank tower.

Very nice, I love the view.
Frankfurt is probably the city in Europe I want to visit most right now.

Great photos!

This view will definitely change dramatically in the coming years with 4-5 new major skyscrapers going up between the Messeturm and the DZ Bank.

Stunning photos, to say the least. That first one is just mindblowing.

In that last pic, I'm guessing they're fixing up the church on the lower left? I remember scaffolding going up last summer.

The skyscrapers don't really make up for the provincial atmosphere.
