Wait is this a photograph or a rendering?

I am worried that the paint is going to conflict with the form rather than accentuating it like the bare concrete seems to do. The white just seems so flat, so textureless. The concrete, when viewed as incorporated into its wavy forms, seemed to emulate stone quite well, if not tricking me into thinking so with the context.

I think the paint will help give the building a cleaner look overall, although it will be interesting to see if this adds or distracts from the waves.

Well in a couple of the above photos, the white paint provides a much greater contrast with the black window frames than the grey concrete, and so makes the balconies stand out better.
In low light, it may make a big difference in how the building will look.

But in this case, featureless probably helps the building overall. The eye should flow over the whole of the building, over the flow of the waves, and not fixate on a texture on the underside of a balcony.

I like the paint. The imperfections of the concrete (which can be attractive in other contexts) undermine the purity of the repetition.

Its not so much the purity, but there is so much other stuff going on with this building, the bare concrete can beccome distracting. I'm just worried about how the building is going to age.

^^expensively. I think the white paint is brilliant. Much more so in person than the photographs indicate. To maintain that will probably require fairly frequent repainting. Maybe not.

That leads me to this question - will there be restrictions on what owners can have on the balcony?? no grills, no bikes, type of furniture, etc?? Will the Condo Association will be strict?

I personally prefer the raw concrete, but this is without handrails. Perhaps once the railings are in place, I will agree that the simplicity of pure painted surface was needed to reduce visual distractions.

I agree that the concrete looks better, but at least the paint is white and not diarrhea colored.

I agree. Concrete and white paint, neither look all that good with age. It is the one nagging doubt that I have about this project. That being said, the building is exceeding my expectations. It's just stunning.

Who would have thought a coat of paint would be such a magical touch? I wouldn't worry about its end effects on the design of the building and think it will add so much to the wonderment of this magnificent building!

I'll agree to the paint age concern though. Hopefully, the care and maintinance of it will exceed expectations too.
