I agree with you mcbane. Eventhough it is an especially gloomy time right now for all real estate interests Penn is a nice chip to be holding.The thing that worries me most is that Brandywine is going through some internal turmoil and their stock got zapped pretty good, I'll feel alot better about this project if I see that stock heading upwards.

Good points. With a 2012 target date we wont see see anything rise until at least 2009, if not later. This is a great project and with Penn's backing it is likely to happen, even if it is delayed a couple of years. It looks like Brandywine is looking for a partner, probably similar to the way Liberty Property Trust operates the Comcast Center as a joint venture with Commerzbank AG.

Drove by today and hard-core de-construction is still on track.

Looks like the parking garage across 31st is getting taller.

I have only seen the mock ups in the 30th street post office lobby. The post office boxes, store and passport services, etc. will move there.

That is correct. That is the building that I heard was going to be the post-office, but I can't seem to find any official information that it is true....

here are some today...I think they are just about ready to take down the front wall judging by the barriers they are installing in the front....

this one is from today..where the building dedication plate is gone and the one below it is from a couple of weeks ago when it was there...

these are of the conversion of the old postal vehicular building being converted into a new post office i think

If i'm seeing/reading this correctly it looks like there will be a parking garage at street level on 29th St. just north of Walnut.

Is that right?

If so, why? there's so much space below grade for parking.
