LOL. Regardless of whether the Teddy Bear adds to the Shangri la pictures or not, the Shangri La is still looking awesome. What I would like to know towerguy, is do the people look at you funny while you're carry a teddy bear?

Re bar rising. Well, I have just looked out the window and see rebar rising on one corner. About 30 feet high where the Elevator core is.

I watched it rising this afternoon, it looked as you said about 30' I can't wait to see what the fins will be like in design

Based on the penthouse render posted a while back, there is one level of the penthouse (as well as mechanical) that is set back from the edge of the floorplate.

It's equivalent to the landings that you often see at the top of stairs leading to a roof deck
- but here it's a bit bigger pavillion (and will all be hidden by the fins which stand independently of that pavillion).
Note that this plan only shows one of 2 (?) penthouses.

I was thinking the same thing. That is what i was trying to get at when I posted these renders a while ago.

I can't remember, how tall are the Fins going to be. I assume at least 2 storeys high to cover the PH and Mech roof. But how many Feet is that?

Don't know numbers, but Phesto posted this progress report back in December - it uses the most current elevation drawing from the DP application to insert the extra floor - so the height of the fins shown in this drawing is the most accurate that we have (unless the City allowed them to increase the height of the fins (say, in response to DP comments about proportions)). So the height shown in that penthouse model pic looks like the entire height of the fins ( I thought it looked cut off for some reason) - you can see that the mech penthouse pokes up a bit above the fins in the drawing below. So, the height of the rebar in the pic would be the height of the mech penthouse, with the fins ending just below that.

Ya so according to this we have the fins starting on the curent floor we are at then the upstairs floor of the penthouse and mech roof yet to come, and ya it does look like the mech roof will be above the fins...thats dumb
