It's can fetch your car within ~90seconds, it's not like everyone leaves at once besides most of those people won't be driving to work. They either don't work anymore, don't work here, or they could walk to work. The few that do need their cars will manage fine.
The problem I'd worry about is having multiple trips to load or unload the car - say from a big grocery trip or for a camping trip. But I guess there'd be a concierge to help with that?
Friends in Yaletown said that the car elevator at 1180 Homer works well (they don't live in that building) - but they've heard that it doesn't break down all that often (though it has broken down).

I stayed at a Seattle hotel that had one, the operator said that it was 100% theft and vandal proof, but being mechanical needed regular pricey maintenance.
You and I, I drool every time I get a chance to set my eyes on it, it is quite impressive with the second level and private balcony, remind me of the Jetsons

The two buildings I'm looking most forward to seeing rise are the Ritz-Carlton and this one. It's too bad they both have quite a ways to go until they reach grade (and I wish they'd start excavation at the RC already!)

Is there -any- chance at all that the Jolly Taxpayer will re-open its doors upon completion of this project??
The building was demolished and the new building will have a lobby in its place. Not sure what'll be in the two heritage buildings, but they are more retail-oriented rather than pub space.
