This Week

What do you think the reaction will be to the news that contact has been made with an intelligent life form. Will the reaction be one of hope or fear?

damn, that was my idea. great minds think alike.

the tonnes of elephant dung 'produced' daily would do wonders for our water quality.

News from Future City: Will new supercity's centre be London or Hamilton?

It's the year 2122 in Future City and amalgamation on a grand scale is about to hit Southern Ontario. Everything from London to Hamilton will be merged into one supercity. The question is: Where should the administrative headquarters be located. The question is put to the population in the form of a referendum. Should Hamilton or London be the headquarters for the new supercity?
--------------------------------------------------------------

So where do you think it should go go_leafs_go? lol

haha...i got that email..i burst out laughing..and promptly voted for London

Maybe I'll rally my London troops to take home the title...haha..i can't see us winning.

we're in the centre of southern Ontario. halfway between Toronto and Detroit, between Lake Huron and Lake Erie and Ontario (ok..maybe not so close, but still)

I don't want a supercity though, if I have any choice. London and Hamilton are too far apart really, hamilton will definitly be mainly a suburb town of Toronto by how commuters operate, while London still likely will remain independant, unless you can commute to the GTA within 30 minutes, which is probably possible in 2122.

No, by 2122 you can beam yourself to the GTA, no need for cars or commute. Beam me up Scotty!
