Here's a picture of what Salient has planned for the Trapp block in New West, looks good.

The old rendering is on Emporis, for reference.

By the way, I'm not a fan of that Edmonds library rendering compared to the other "newer" Burnaby libraries, McGill & Metrotown. For a public institution in a growing town centre, which is devoid of much decent architecture, I think they could've done a lot better.

I agree, i found it kinda boring when I first saw it, but then I realised its only one floor and 17000 square feet, not bad for a relatively small library in the end.

That does look good, it's alot better than Interurban being built down the street.

Yeah I heard metrotower 3 was going to get underway any time now too. A few quick nots about MT3:

- Developers are looking to acheive LEED gold certification
- Should be topping out around fall 2010, with substantial completion in early 2011.
- TO Mechanical penthouse will be 365'6" to the lobby, or 381'4" to the lower plaza

I have some renderings but I dont know if I can post em... I'll see what I can do.

Also regarding the Edmonds library I just learned it will have a green roof, and is aiming for leed silver. There is also a cool water effect that will have the south end of the library be a granite wall with water coming down it in a waterfall effect like the international airport. Should really add to the effect of the building.

semiahmoo shopping centre has been submitted for DP already. some towers, some retail, no LEED, BOSA is a cheap skate, looking to save some money after their abissmal loss in California. I could get plans, but they dont look very good.

19 storey tower does not have 510 units

, thats the units over the entire site which includes townhouses.

blocks east of west whalley ring road north of 100 av and south of 107B av are/close to being bought up and assembled. ring ring deja vu

no, they timed the investment of their properties at the wrong time and now have their hands tied up in property there that is worthless for the near future.

Still fronting Central Blvd - not Kingsway.

That makes sense, it is nowhere near Kingsway. I guess it will be taking out that small bit of raised treed area next to the dolphins.

Depends where metro tower 2's height is measured from. If its from the lobby then this tower will be the same height, if its from the plaza then this tower will be 20 or so feet taller.

By the way the original metro tower 3's was planed to be only 334feet. Again not sure if thats the height from the lobby or the plaza.

Whats being built across the street from river rock with the crane? Looks like a pretty big development and its almost touching the canada line.
