Well guys, I am going to closing tomorrow on a new office building in Woods Cross that I will be a minority shareholder in. Next time I am out taking photos I will post some of it as well. It will be two stories with a basement and will be done in brick. I think that the total sq footage is around 30,000. Also, when I get a copy of the architectural rendering I will try to post it as well. So far they have digging the foundation and hauling dirt from the site. Pretty exciting stuff. It is fun to be in this from the ground up and watch it progress.

Hey talking about dating ones self, before club DV8 it was the Twelve Oaks, before that in the early 80's it was a dance club called Rumors and before that in the late 70's it was a dance club called Studio 8. I also remember it being a comedy club, but I do not remember the name. The place was many things and they were all fun times.

I like the lines of the building, particularly the window-lines in the center and at the ends. I also like the vertical alcove of the roof-line at the center. I'm only wondering a little about the window-lines across the main structure. This is just a thought of course, and of no major consequence. The gray center material between the windows, tends to elongate their appearance into a horizontal shape. The windows themselves are a traditional square, which is timeless and a look that will hold it's style for the life of the building. Perhaps, using the gray in-between could date the style very quickly. I realize T-Mac this could possibly cause a cost overrun and it's not a criticism, just a thought to consider. What do you think? Also, is this building a part of a large business park? I imagine that Woods Cross is an excellent location along the Metro.

I went downtown today, and it was freezing!

The History Library is coming along

222 Main, well at least the hole is bigger and deeper

And the biggest change is at City Creek

My battery died, and I had to reach up over the wall to take this one, so its the only one on this side. Lots of steel, and re-bar rising.

Somebody is stockpiling tower cranes (3 or 4) on a vacant lot out by the Airport on the south side of I-80. All have just showed up in the last 2-3 weeks

For some reason I really dig this view of the American Towers- nice one Stevena! Does anyone else seem to think the new history library has an odd salmon color to it? Maybe it just stands out more since many of the surrounding buildings are a whiter granite.

It kinda does look a bit salmon in my picture, but I swear it was a gray/white granite when I was there.

Future Mayor, I was thinking of making downtown seem bigger, I took more pics but the didn't seem relevant till now. They are all around main.

My finger got in the way

We seem to go on the same days, because the last time I took my camera to take pics was the exact day you did. Last time you beat me too it, now I got you.

I bet your camera is way better though, you can zoom! My camera is so lame that the only thing it can do is some bad video, pictures, and I can turn the flash off.

Nice pics of the Walker though, where are they taken from? All of mine are always from the ground

I get alot of pics from the Regent Street parking terrace. It allows for good views of the city and it goes up 10 stories.
