Actually a bit taller than that when you add the fins at the top.

It never ceases to amaze me how f'n huge the footprint of Hotel Van is. An absolutely beautiful building - nice pic - Classic and Modern mixed.

Of course - but relatvie to Vancouver its quite big - especially in that pic, compare to the SL

I had opportunity to stay at the Hotel Rosiya in Moscow a few years ago before it was torn down. When it was built in the '60s, it was largest hotel in world - easily one the largest floorplate I have ever seen, and probably was one of the biggest around.

the Wall Center looks small now from a distance

as the Sun's declination increases (as it gets higher in the sky from week to week) we'll see more reflection from the glass. Right now with the Sun being low in the ecliptic and the glass only going so far up, we don't have much of a reflection effect yet.

I was just fooling around with this previous picture, and created the Shangri-la as how it would appear as a 1,072 foot tower. I know, wishful thinking.

it looks amazing from the West Georgia point of view, but i do agree it would be too tall if we looked it from far away. so yea, 750-800 feet would be ideal.

Nothing is too tall to me, But I would settle for 800'.
