Also, the Swisshotel Ballroom is designated in light blue - has Magellan acquired it for development as well?
I don't think so. It was probably much cheaper and easier to build Swissotel's ballroom and Aqua at the same time, so Swissotel and Magellan worked something out. The ballroom is part of the master plan for the site, but I doubt Magellan has any residential units planned there.

Speaking of the Clare, I heard on the news the other evening that the "tax exemption" might be illegal. It was a follow-up to the previous story.
What happens if this is the case? Are all sales contracts null and void and they have to start over? Could this cause the construction loan to default and stall the project?
Would it happen to be in this picture (yellowish brick structure on the right):
Yeah. It's really not awful, and it's infinitely better than beige shit brown painted concrete. Most brick takes a couple decades to start to look cool, anyway. And the expensive pre-aged classy looking brick, is well, expensive.
Which of the remaining "future development" plots are to be among the more significant buildings in Lakeshore East? Or are Aqua and the Aquitectonica building going to be the headliners and the rest of the sites will be more along the lines of the Lancaster or the Tides? Or does nobody really know what is on deck for the master plan until it is announced?

The plot at the upper right, at Wacker & LSD is widely rumored (or hoped) to be a supertall, but that's rumor only.
There's no info on anything else that I've seen.

Well the Clare looks to be even with 50 E. Chestnut, and therefore only ~100' short of topping out, so there isn't much left to stall.
The lawyers will now have to review all the contracts and see what was promissed and what wasn't. Hopefully that takes a couple months and they top out by then.
7:45 am - pouring a floor, the guy with the backpack and wand is using a "dick" which vibrates and helps the cement settle and bring bubbles up to the surface.

Nice typo on Millennium Park in the lower left of the map.
See Harry's photo above that he labeled 453 N. Clark. I noticed the soil testing rig onsite as well today. This had been planned as condos by Friedman - I'm not sure what the current status is, but right now of course it would make much more sense to go rental...

That is great to hear...I work in the old courthouse building accross the street. Given all the new developments on that block I figured it was only a matter of time before something was put there.
I still can't figure out how the tiny adult bookstore wedged right there between brasserie jo and the new hotel on dearborn and hubbard staved off all the redevelopment.
