I didn't realize.....
.....there was a side to side curve on the top 5 floors or so. I'm really looking forward to the unique top.

The Roof!
This morning I noticed what looked like a fallen beam. But a closer look revealed it is one of the supporting struts for that curved roof. That will be a cool addition to the skyline of too many flat roofs.

ha, fixed..

sorry for the crappy quality, its a camera phone. immediately after i took that, they boarded up the adjacent office with paper, so wont have a good view for awhile.

So it looks as if segments of the roof are being assembled and craned up to the top.

The support columns for the roof are also in place.

Is it me or did it seem that 1LP went up over night?

Yes, once the building started to rise, it went up rather quick.

I drove by it today and you could definitely see the curved steel for the roof. I would say its curved at least a third of the way over the top of the building now.

I cannot believe that this one is almost complete already!?

I sure hope Tabor Dos starts up this summer!!! That and possibly Great Gulf/1401 Lawrence. That would really be nice!!!

If not? We will have Four Seasons starting to climb it's way skyward, hopefully Spire will again gasp some air and have life, and also begin it's decent skyward...

Any updates for us non-downtowners? Have they completed any more of the steel roof structure?
