^ Yeah, it looks like they took the mass out of the middle of the tall one and tacked the missing FAR over on the side of the other.

Those units will have amazing views down Wacker Drive... could convince me to look beyond the Spire if I were a buyer today. But one wishes they could move the tower closer to Wacker, so that it would become a massive projecting "bay window" over the street.

Honte, it is on Wacker Drive. Or at least its close to upper wacker on that picture. The street on the bottom of the render has cars going right or west, but i didn't know eastbound wacker drive stopped at this building (I knew it stopped, but I thought it was at the Regatta.)

^ Sorry, not being clear again. I mean, if there were no setback on the rightmost building, the cantilever would project over Wacker. For now, it seems like they have pushed the building back from the street, then cantilevered over their own plaza (which is fine too - just not as powerful).

The upper level of Eastbound Wacker stops roughly right in the center of this development. The lower level does not stop at all, of course, leading to LSD.

This photo was taken by earlybuyer in the Aqua thread. Is the spot on the left where Arqu going? If so it looks like it will be pretty close in hight to Aon then?

Cbotnyse,

No, the blank spot on the left is where the grocery store is going. Arquitectonica is on the far, far right, on the other side of the Tides along the river.

By Harry. The site is right there in the middle, between Wacker and the Tides.

wow, so it will be directly in front of the tides? The tides wont be able to see a thing. It will really add density to that area.

Actually, no. If you look at the original rendering of the single tower, you'll see that the Tides' views are largely preserved.

ah OK, from your shot it looks almost directly in front. I thought that wouldnt make much sense to design it that way.

I like how the building will directly front on Wacker. None of the buildings over there do, and I think it gives the area a very isolated feel. This should open it up a bit.

I like the three tower version much better. Its not as blocky and odd looking. Plus two extra buildings? Cant go wrong.

A height increase would also be a definite plus.

Tides at right:
My source tells me that this is the most recent design/rendering.

The height surely may have increased, but the image posted with the taller shoulders is old sorry to say. I think I like that one better.

/facepalm.

But if the 1000' rumors/reports are true, then I am ok with the current design if they only scale it up regardless.

^Agreed...

And if it's any consolation, this more than likely won't be the tallest tower of the development.

And I did hear a "rumor" of a possible 500' - 600' tall building between this and Swissotel.

Just wondering.

Is the Aquitectonica tower the next building slated to be built in LSE?

Or are their other condo/apartment projects that look like they may "jump in line" in front of this building?

Aquitectonica is next as far as I know.
