Sweet Viper! Theres 4 votes for the theater downtown! Anyone else? I'm too busted funding the skyrocketing cost of higher education. Anyone got some Jazz tickets for the U of U as well?

If this whole situation would only wait to surface for a couple of years. I would just donate a chunk of money or be the Developer interested in building it downtown. I would donate money just to spite Dolan and those on the legislature that are criminals.

Being able to donate the money is based on my hope that my first couple of development deals go through.

Thought I'd let people know that the bridges at citifront are building up. there is a crane up and one of the buildings is at 3 stories now. I can't figure out how to get a picture off my new camera phone and onto a computer so I didn't take a picture. Also nothing significant has been done on marmalade in the past month (I recently moved and now I see it every day), which is sort of irritating because I would really like to have a grocer close by my new place. It seems like the only two significant projects that are moving along at a decent pace are CCC and bridges at citifront (oh, and the condos to the north of citifront, the jefferson I think). come on you other projects, lets see some progress.

Delts, I am very excited about this development, as I live not too far from it. In fact, every time I come to Salt Lake, I have to drive past this spot. It will be fun to watch the change of that gravel pit.

I like the concept of this project as well. It is true that it will provide a better gateway into NSL and also Davis County, but it will also act as a better buffer as you enter SLC from the north.

Thanks Eaglewood for helping to make the northern entrance of Salt Lake City a little more pleasing. I would hope that Eaglewood combined with Marmalade will continue to spur development along Beck Street. Beck Street could become another Grand Blvd into and out of the city, as is envisioned for 500 and 600 S.

Same here. That whole 300 West/Highway 89 corridor is one place to put your money now for some excellent future returns.

I live there now, of course I'm a poor grad student so I am renting but it's still a cool place that is only going to get better. Whereas the place I recently left (sugar house) is getting worse IMHO. In fact these two neighborhoods are a great case study on when redevelopment is needed and when it's not.

SLCforme, What do you think about Ouray Ave., over on the west side of 300 West? I just about invested in a home there to restore, but there were numerous foundation isssues, and the seller had his head in the clouds. Anyway, have you noticed the great old homes on that little street? I must admit, I have a fascination with the potential of that area.

I'm having a hard time thinking of which street that is in particular but there are definitely some great old homes on the west side of 3rd W, and the east side too for that matter. I think that area would be a good one to invest in due to all the projects in the area that we've been talking about, but foundation issues are not something to be trifled with, so I'd say you made a good call.

It would be one of those narrow lanes at approximately mid block, between 400 and 500 north. On 300 West, it begins at 440 north and bends sharply to the north until you exit at 500 North. Go to MapQuest and type 440 no. Ouray Ave. at Salt Lake City, 84103

I saw a proposed project near 3600 South State Street. It was near the Theaters there, just a little to the north. It once was a hotel? Im not sure I have heard about it on this thread. Maybe. I am going to go check it out later..

The new Keys on Main is going to be sweet. It is right of the Trax Station. I know its location is no surprise but seeing where its actual located with my own eyes is great, I have to say I wont mind a bit walking from (When finished) CCC down to have a drink, and maybe others will do the same, and here we go foot traffic, or at least me.

The problem will be getting back

If you are too tired to walk back, or feel like sitting becase of well yeah, traxx is right there and drops off right at CCC.
