here's a couple nice autumn shots of downtown

If I am still alive in 60-70 years (80-90 years old), I hope to look from this same angle and see a sea of skyscrapers from Downtown to Metrotown, with 1000+ foot supertalls in each respective centre. Most likely a pipedream, however it is what I dream. I also dream to be one of the people who worked on those buildings.
btw, great find raggedy13! the sun really is quite different at this time of year. here's another great shot. supposedly not retouched or anything from a sunrise last week www.flickr.com
From my place in the early morning, the squares on Shangri-La also have the same red glow - looks amazing, but I haven't been able to take a picture of it without the red colour getting washed out.
flatiron, personally i don't mind the spandrels on the south and east sides; i like the contrast, although others seem to disagree
sapphire, althought i still think this building isnt that great, i can appreciate the fact that, when occupied, the curtains will blend with the spandrels. i'd even say its the nicer version of the conccord condos

"Habitat Island" is now fully landscaped. This island will only be accessible at low tide. The three tall dead tress are perches for our local bald eagle population.
