Thank you. Infastructure is a personal favorite part to build, so I try to make it good. The one I'm making for this will be the best yet.

Well making a map of the infastructure is more time consuming than I thought, so you'll just see as it comes. In the mean time here is a sneak peak of the Hutchinson Bay Bridge (I'm still working on it).

Much longer, which is why there are 4 towers.

Ok, this afternoon I mostly worked on the begining of Hutchinson Square (The Times Square of Hutchinson), as well as the Hutchinson Bay Bridge. Both are far from completion.

In this first shot you can easily see its a Times Square rip-off, but oh well. The 1 Astor Plaza based building: 1717 Broadway
The Morgan Stanley based building: 1414 Broadway
The Times Square Tower Based Building: The Hutchinson Square Tower

Then you have the W Hotel of Hutchinson, and a few other buildings. Some noteable companies that are advertised are: Nike, TRI, Ernst&Young, Visa, iPod, Citigroup, Wachovia, KeyLife, JP Morgan Chase, Target, CBS, Delta Airlines, Korean Air, HSBC, and Verizon. There will be many more billboards to come.

The Verizon Building: Verizon had this building constructed for their Hutchinson HQ the same time they built their NYC HQ. Verizon used the same design for Hutchinson to save money, only the building here is 50ft shorter. When Chamberlin signed Verizon on as their Telecom provider, Verizon moved 50% of their employees from Hutchinson to Chamberlin. Today Verizon only makes up 50% of the building.

NICE!! Those buildings look tiny though, how tall are they? I really dig Hutchinson Square, I really love the Chamberlin Skyline in the distance, reminds me of Minnianapolis and St. Paul.

Here is a shot I made by placing a copy of the Maesrk Building from Chamberlin in the Hutchinson skyline. Things seem pretty balanced to me. What do you think?

(Maersk is the blue building).

Nice. Improvement already, anyways next to the green towers (Key Bank I assume from the logo) there is a "wavy" building, what's it called? I really like it.

-Nope, I just made it that color to distinct it as a model. It's already gone from Hutchinson.
-No, they are both on the same file. You can tell because of the multiple pics shown with both skylines, and the map.

-Actually the company is KeyLife. A fictional brokerage & financial company I made.
-The "wavy" building is the Hutchinson J.W. Marriot. I haven't got around to detailing it yet. It was inspired by the Sheraton Hotel is Manhattan (on 6th Avenue, even though the design is different).

Glad it's inspired you. All my inspiration to make a city came from the founding fathers of sketch-up (Patrick, Fox, & CGII).

Oh but I gotta be fair, I said I wasnt that inspired SINCE
I saw Patrick's hand drawings and reminded me of mines (gotta scan!), then particularly Fox's city, Ruo Xandel, Staunton speaks for itself, CGI's, La Corte. Aleks was particularly the most welcoming. I finally ended up accepting all of his initial advices - but I had to try n fail by myself.

still, I wanna do more infrastructure, I love it too (ships, planes, rails, motion)

so glad i discovered this place and SU!

Thanks, I tried and failed my self, with Mexico and La Corte. Both cities were big failures but La Corte improved and became better than Mexico City.
The shape of buildings in Dac's city are nice but I would love to see them with detail, I know, here we go again with the textures, and the windows and what not. But hey, just imagine a city like this....classic, mixed with new, tall, short, fat, skinny...It would look really nice.
