Where's the glass? Harry said they were supposed to start hanging by Friday. I walked by last night and there was nothing I could see. Hope they start today!

Oh and Alliance, look at Harry's pictures of the glass, it is wavy, like all glass. We'll see if it ends up looking like Trump when they have it hanging on the building. I hope the waviness isn't as apparent in this building.

The glass was crated and sitting on the NW courner of the Street level, it was still there Friday as I went home, I will check again today.

I like the people for scale and context.

Thanks, harryc. And by the way, thank you for all you're great photos. I've been very busy at work and haven't been able to get out. You've done a wonderful job keeping everyone updated! Today was the first time in awhile that I was able to take pictures. I’ll post a few more later.

Thanks Harry and Solar! I think it looks great, there is a touch of waviness which I'm sure someone will make a stink over, but I think it looks fine. Can't wait to see more of it!

You may have to wait awhile - I got the distinct impression that this was a test - and may be taken down until the work is further along. The worker/foreman I spoke with last week did not sound thrilled with this "must be in by Friday".

Hell, it doesn't seem nearly as bad as Trump.

Here are a few from yesterday. I took a good friend who was visiting from out of state up in the Sears Tower, so we got some good shots from above.

From upper Wacker.

Man, I'm really upset the glass is so wavy, because this building is all about the glass and window style. (steel accents or whatever you want to call them)

However, from the side it looked ok, and I'm sure from far away it will look ok.

See, I called it, someone's gotta complain, even though its like what, two panels?

Like I frequently say, all glass is wavy, even buildings heralded for their glass, 333 N. Wacker, wavy, 600 N. Fairbanks, wavy but clear, heck, look at the glass on Hancock and Sears, wavy...

Its far too early to see whether the end effect of this facade will be MOMO, 600 N. Fairbanks (you can't see the waves cause its clear), or somewhere in between like Trump.

It really depends on the reflectivity of the glass and the angle you are viewing it from, but if you look closely its all Trumpesque. If you don't believe me, produce one example of a high rise with non-wavy glass and I may concede.
