New figures? Where did this 921' come from in the first place? If it came from the newspaper, then maybe it should have been written it as ~921' until a better source could be found. . .

the 921' figure was reported to mario over at newcityskyline i believe directly from the architects, but at this preliminary stage, it's hardly a reliable number, especially considering that it was never known for sure if this was a true building height or a CCD figure.

Unless they set up some models or something i don't think you should be anticipating much from now until spring so no use getting itchy.

In the AIA focus section, they mention this tower has 78 floors and refer to it as the "New Wacker Tower."

Is it possible we will see any major changes in design, or just minor ones at this point?

Absolutely anything could happen. We've only seen preliminary drawings, and very few specific details. The marketing hasn't begun yet either.

I think dallasbrink's comment might have been in reference to the facade detailing being basic, which I would agree with at this point. But again, I think all we have to go by are fairly rough design concepts that will be made more clear in the months ahead.

By the way, when STR did his newest skyline renders for Waldorf-Astoria, it hit me that I think I'm really going to like this tower. It's quite a relief actually to have a well-proportioned, boxy building going up. Brininstool+Lynch seem to be the only ones doing this these days in the residential sector, and their towers are unfortunately rather repetitive.
