I've been photographing this site since they tore down the parking garage that was there before- its been great watching it rise up before I even knew what it would be. Anyway, I thought I'd share a few of my favorite pics from the past year. I'll have a few new ones from this week if anyone is interested, I can post them. I printed a few of these large- 30x40, 40x60, and am extremely happy with them. Printed that size you can really "walk" into the scene and look at all the detail. Too bad I cant post em here that big

I love the first shot. It's one of the ones where the focus makes it look like a model.

The river never freezes solid. When it does freeze over, then the ice builds up underneath , and the pressure build, and builds, the ice buckles a bit, then with a sharp crack and a ripping sound the sheet will fracture and one part thrust under the other. Scared the begeezes out of me the first time I heard it. You can hear it go down the river sometimes.

Chicago is great.

The negitive effect may come when the river is drained into the undergound tunnel systems, and then soaks the soil. There was a lot of concern about this back in '92.

Solar, you know if you haven't already, you should apply to become an Emporis photographer. With all the construction projects, we could use all the help we can get.

The amusement park on the street level is open.

Piping was laid over the past few days, as the work progressed sections would be knocked off and the flexible end re-attached.

Nice pics, Aaron38. Its good to see it finally popping up through the skyline in places. Love the trump banner and mcdonalds signs sneaking in there. Those two names seem to be haunting me where ever I go now

It will be Lower Level 1 - service stuff, the street level is one up, the lobby will be quite impressive.
