A little tour of Old Town Florence, Oregon

It was a great day (no tourists to speak of) to walk my dog downtown today so I took my camera:

I drove through there last year. Like all those little Oregon coast towns, it was really scenic and beautiful. Just had a twinge of longing for someplace like that instead of traffic-clogged LA, where I am now.

Thanks for the pictures. I've been through Florence many times. My buddy's grandparents had a house there on one of the lakes where me and my friends stayed on our Senior Trip after high school. We went dune buggying and I ate the best clam chowder at a local restaraunt.

I take my dog to Honeyman State Park for his exercise most days. There is a wonderful lake there that provides the drinking water to Dunes City. Friends from Seattle came down and we spent a lot of time there swimming. The clam chowder "is great".

I love Florence. Wish it was closer, but that's probably saved it from being overrun.

Which coastal town is considered the most touristy hotspot in Oregon? Or is there one...

Probably Seaside, but Cannon Beach and Lincoln City are full of tourists.

very cute, I used to visit it when I lived in Eugene.

Some of those shots remind me of Multnomah Village...
