This is the hotel that will be part of the PGA Tour resort (to be called Cibolo Canyon Resort). Hasn't this been known for a long time? That JW Marriott would be the hotel that is.

There;s been a JW Marriott Hotel in Houston located across the street (Westheimer) from the Galleria for about 30 years now so not sure why they are saying it's a Texas first?

Yes, that's right. It has not always been a JW, but it has carried that banner for at least the past 5-to-10 years.

From all the press clippings - should the downtown Austin JW start in the fist QTR of 08 as anticipated it will be up an running before this resort...

That is a HUGE JW however... it may be the 2nd or 3rd in the state.

Maybe they meant first "hotel and spa" JW in Texas, otherwise, I don't know why they'd put that.
