QUOTE=honte;3018215]Remember the Kelleher rumor for a tall building in South Loop? Maybe he's developing this to capture lost revenue from things that could have been in the Chicago Spire.
He'll put a sign up in the CS plaza that reads,
"Sorry for any inconvenience. Due to various concerns, there is no public observation deck in the Chicago Spire. Please visit Shelbourne Station - South Loop, for Chicago's greatest view."[/QUOTE]
If this was the case, the best place, assuming something tall is getting built in the museum park developement would be a little southwest of the Columbian. However, I don't think this is Kelleher's "project" (that probably doesnt exist anyway.
A coms/OD building sounds like Beitler to me. But why would he switch from Pelli's design? (besides the fact that it was generally hated).
Would be good for the Games though...and it might make the Park Michigan height issue irrelevant.
Just for Old Times Sake...

...(Geez...how old is this picture

. Its amazing how much a 8 years of insane construction levels can change even the worlds tallest skyline).
