Yeah, I was just thinking - this might be the rare building where the back looks better than the front. Go figure?

Here's a quick shot of Wolf Point(e). Great looking parking lot.

Nice shot. Is that yours? Was it taken from the 333 West Wacker building? Office workers there will have a prime viewing location when construction eventually gets started (hopefully within the next decade).

Here's a picture I took yesterday from the roof of a parking garage.

Great shots Solar.

I went for a lakeshore bikeride today to see the Air & Water show (before we got rained on) and some tall buildings. I started out in Edgewater.

The Granville

Tower cranes in the skyline

600 N Fairbanks

600 N LSD

Parkview West

Avenue East

The Tides looks to be topped out.

900 S Clark from Columbus in Grant Park

Since I was on a bike, I was able to quickly zip down to the Central Station highrises on 14th street.

Michigan Marquis

Apparently they're still trying to decide which paint color is less ugly.

Mich Ave Tower II

Yes and yes. It's a pretty big site when you look at it from above. The curviness of 200 N Riverside will complement 333 very well. Should be interesting to see what they come up with for the pointe.

hey, welcome back-ish, solarwind, and thanks for all the pics

so, continuing with our rumors trend...
I was at a party in the loop last night talking for quite a bit with an architect from Goettsch, and she really didn't give me many details (something about getting in trouble), but she said they're busy with a communications/OD project in, I believe she said, the south loop which would be taller than the sears. She said no to my renders request, of course. damn, my moves must be pretty sh*tty anyway, just stating what I heard. take it or leave it

I dont mind rumors. I actually enjoy reading them and pondering about the prospects of one day see it come to light. I take them for what they are. Nothing more. So thanks.

Forgive my complete ignorance but "communications/OD project"? What would/could that be?

Thanks jstush04, but I only went 9 days without posting a picture. I think I made up for the drought.

I assume she meant a tower to mount high-definition broadcasting antennas, similar to the Beitler Telecom Tower which was proposed earlier. I believe Cesar Pelli was supposed to design that one. If this rumor is true, I wonder who would be financing it.

jstush04 - Does the "/OD" stand for "office development"? Did she says this would be a building and be taller than Sears?

Maybe she just meant HD instead of OD?

Yeah, that makes more sense than creating additional Chicago office space.

Anyone one want to speculate on a potential location?

Definitely makes more sense and in a pre-Chicago Spire world, before I erased the term "observation deck" from memory, I wouldve automatically thought that.

Great south loop pics! You identified this one as Vetro but I am sure that it is 900 south Clark. Also you the Central Station pics of MP1400 and Reebie Lofts are on 14th not 17th.
