It's going to fun to watch this one and Aqua 'race' to the top. They seem to be pretty nearly at the same point now.

I just wish there were more Towers of this height like these in Chicago in the future rather than the multitude of 700' and 800' guys. (Not that 7-800 footers proposed or U/C in Chicago are bad). Meh, as long as we don't have NYTT "spires", keep those 800 footers and 1000 footers coming.

This is the only skyscraper (along with CS and WTC) that I've kept watch since the beginning of the construction. woot woot waterview!

I bet that 800-1000' mark is a clear reflection of what is the most profitable thing to build (especially with small lots where a 1500' tower would require a core the size of the whole lot!!!)

Actually the front ones are huge, the rest are just big. If I recall correctly the
setbacks are all on the SE corner making it heavier on the N side. Notice the "collumns" built into the elevator shaft.

The front ones are solid concrete, with heavy rebar near the edge.
