The "park" with the black line around it sits on top of the podium of the building. The black line is the extent of the construction site which squares with the photos. The last few photographs are of a separate construction site not shown on the map (adjacent to where it says "E. Bent..." in the bottom right).

Edit: Oh, I think I understand. its actually not part of the aqua site, and is the southeastern corner of the park... I thought it was the northeastern corner. silly me

This might help a little since theres so much going on in that area... but it looks to be part of the market area behind 340 OTP...

This looks like Site "O" is being built on as well. Did they change the plans for that?

Site "O" is not being built on. The Aqua construction crew is using it for assembling rebar, etc. Not a problem since Magellan owns both sites.

The pillars are bordering site O to the north. Part of the base of Aqua and I believe possibly the walkway that will go from Upper Columbus down to the Park (there will be such a walkway, correct?)

.....There are some trees at the base of the BCBS Podium in line with the southern roadway of the "Park" (which used to be a golf course)....so if the south "pillars", so called, are for the stairway/ramp down from the AQUA podium, then the blue "future development" tract on the much displayed site plan is, in reality, pretty bloody slender......skinny, in fact. So....as narrow, and this is, as is the AQUA floor-mat , this (previously called "twin" of AQUA will, of necessity, be even more slender.......and, practically speaking, what do you think the potential foot print is there, you engineers......about forty feet left there to "develop"?........and with no views from the long north and south boundaries of the "future development".......Hmmmm.....this should be very interesting.

I believe the Aqua stairs have been shifted south from the site plan, reducing the size of Site O. Yes, this makes it narrow, but it will have park views and I see no reason why it can't be developed at a future date. Also, nobody ever said it would be a twin of Aqua.... in fact, nobody's said anything about a development here.

Question about this: how is that corner of the podium for the BC / BS building going to be integrated? Will there be townhomes / shops on both sides that block it completely, or will there be this random sheer concrete wall that makes one feel like they're in a hole when in that park?

^ Of course they won't leave it as a blank wall. The entire park will be surrounded by townhouses or retail uses. In this case, Studio Gang has designed the townhouses.

You don't feel like you're in a hole when in that park, even as it is, anyway. The glass condos that are visible from the park really bring it together, even when LSE is incomplete. It is a very comfortable park.

aaron38, you're right! These pictures were taken from the roof-top deck at the Lancaster. Glad to read from your comment and others that photo's from this perspective are helpful. I'll post additional updates regularly then.

He's right. A lot of the "blank walls" are masked by landscaping as it is, and it will only get better when the parkhomes and the market are built.
