Chicago has a long term sunshine average of 59%.That statistic
you showed is for a short term average.Anyway,clouds and rain are
good.Atleast all the plants dont die like in CA,NV

Sorry Steely...Its great to see this thing showing from the street
and construction workers all over the site.It was a ghost town for
most of the past year!
One of the best looking buildings going up in Chicago !

I don't know if anyone else has caught this but doesn't look like the Tower Crane is going to be constructed within the elevator/stair core? Rather than on the exterior of be building. I know that this is an extremely tight site. I don't think there are any other buildings with this configuration going up today. How unusual is this? I will like to see how they take the boom and superstructure off the crane when it’s up 90+ stories. Can someone explain this?

Isn't there a crane in the core already? Unless this is just a temporary one. Either way I'm looking to see this one rise. It is a very beautiful design.

Once the tower hits the setback on the 29th floor, then the crane will rise along the outside of the tower.

I was told that the reason for the odd angle on the crane is so that once it goes external it will be aligned with the exterior wall.

The added bonus of Waterview is that the LaSalle-Wacker building is going to finally look amazing from all sides. I can't wait until the pre-depression, "Oh, someone's bound to cover this side up in 2-3 years" part is gone.
